Take back control of your life to live it to the fullest
Let's write a new chapter of your life together
Marie-Christine Lemoine, Occupational Therapist
My name is Marie-Christine Lemoine and I have been an occupational therapist for over 12 years.
After obtaining my master's degree in occupational therapy from McGill University, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse mental health clientele at the Institut Universitaire en santé Mentale de Montréal.
Being a mother of 3 children and having also worked in an employee assistance program to provide broader mental health services has allowed me to diversify my professional experience while seeing the importance of staying grounded in everyday life.
I am committed to supporting individuals, through concrete and sustainable tools and solutions that will make your daily life easier.
As an occupational therapist, my goal is to support you in your daily life so you are able to carry out your essential tasks and leisure activities. Through a goal-oriented approach, we will determine your needs in order to focus our meetings on specific objectives for which you will see concrete results.
What is occupational therapy?
Services
Specializing in mental health, I offer occupational therapy services to adolescents (14 years and older) and adults to support them in their daily lives. More specifically, here are some of my areas of expertise
Navigating a life transition
Adapting to a new school, parenthood or retirement, all transitions are pivotal moments in our lives. Together, we can better understand the emotions you are experiencing and strive towards a new balance.
Adjusting to a mental health diagnosis
Whether it's a diagnosis for you or a loved one, learning that you have a disease is difficult to accept. Together, we can understand the condition and find strategies to thrive.
Overcoming Anxiety and Depression
By using a variety of techniques, we'll help you rediscover your motivation, establish healthy habits, and manage anxiety so you can enjoy day-to-day life again.
Conquering organizational challenges
In all areas of our lives, whether at work, at home, or at school, we need to be well-organized to achieve our goals. By developing organizational tools and creating a structured schedule, you will develop good work habits that will allow you to be more efficient in your daily tasks
Reintegrating into the Workplace Successfully
Balacing Work and family life
Following a leave of absence, it is important to take time to understand the factors that led to the leave, in order to then put in place strategies to prevent a relapse. In addition, having support to mitigate anxiety during the return to work process and evaluate the need for workplace accommodations is advisable.
Balancing work and family life is a significant challenge. Together, we can work to understand your family's unique values and schedule, and develop strategies to ensure everyone feels supported and fulfilled in their daily life.
Appointments
All consultations will be conducted via video conference (Zoom).
First, I invite you to schedule a brief introductory meeting. This 15-minute complimentary session will allow us to meet and discuss your specific needs. I will also take this opportunity to explain the format of our sessions.
Following this initial meeting, you will have the opportunity to book 50 minutes long video conference appointments. During these sessions, we will assess your needs, create an action plan, and develop strategies to help you achieve your goals. After each session, you will receive an insurance receipt.
Your brighter future starts today
Feel free to reach out if you require further clarification. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
